Fabares came to prominence starring in the Donna Reed Show (1958-66). She also had a #1 hit "Johnny Angel" in 1962.
Among her many movies were three with Elvis Presley (1965-67), "Hold On!" co-starring with Herman's Hermits (1966), and "Brian's Song" (1971).
She later starred in the TV series "Coach" (1989-97).
